Zimbabwe community Leaadership in UAE
The Zimbabwean community has played and continues to play a major role in the socio-economic development of Zimbabwe. The Embassy is really proud that the Zimbabwean community in the UAE is respected for its technical competence, sense of discipline and its almost absence of involvement with criminal activity compared to other expatriates from other countries. However, like in any community, people often come across various challenges. Some of the challenges that Zimbabwean expatriates in the UAE encounter include cases of abused and destitute house maids, persons in detention or prisons for various crimes, persons failing to meet medical bills, persons sick for a prolonged time in hospitals, unexpected deaths of friends or family members and so forth. The Zimbabwean community in the UAE can overcome these challenges through unity and working together as a community as well as working with the Embassy. In this regard, Zimbabweans in the UAE put in place a Committee to look after the welfare of Zimbabwean citizens in the UAE as well as for engaging and coordinating with the Embassy. This Committee comprises of the following officials;
- Clemence Mangwana – Chairperson
